The focus of this project is to document tattooing before 1990, specifically in South Wales and the South West of England. This pre-internet era of tattooing was documented somewhat in magazines and books however much of it only lives on in a kind of oral history form that can only be experienced by meeting the practitioners and wearers of the art form and hearing their stories in person. It is also a record of how trends changed within tattooing and how the work ages in the skin over time.
Volume Two features 96 pages of images taken at various locations around Wales and The South West complete with a two page glossary of the artists and dates of the work featured. The book is A5 size.
